Tanzania is well-established as one of the best wildlife-viewing destinations in the world. Safaris follow the trail of giant herds of antelope or wildebeest across the Serengeti, while lions lounge to the Ngorongoro Crater a true Garden of Eden and the conical silhouette of Kilimanjaro, beckoning for strong lungs and legs. Just off the coast the beaches and Arabian-infused culture of Zanzibar offer guests a very different Africa.

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park: The small national park includes the slopes, summit, and ash cone of Mt. Meru, the Momela Lakes, Ngurdoto Crater, and the lush highland forests that blanket its lower slopes. Despite the small size of the park, common animals include giraffe, buffalo, zebra, warthog, the black-and-white colobus monkey, the blue monkey, flamingos, african elephants and lions. Birdlife in the forest is prolific, with many forest species more easily seen here than elsewhere on the tourist route.

Serengeti-National-Park

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park: The predator viewing here is exceptional with approximately 3-4,000 lion and huge numbers of cheetah, leopard and hyena. Other animals commonly found in the park include topi, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, elephant, caracal, serval, bat-eared fox, hyrax, genet, hares, porcupine, aardvark, giraffe, jackal, mongoose, crocodile, monitor lizard, aardwolf, many kinds of primates including baboons, vervet and colobus monkeys, and over 500 species of bird.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park: One of the oldest and most popular sanctuaries in East Africa. The park has a large variety of habitats making it possible to support a wealth of wildlife in its small area. The main habitats include the shallow soda lake itself which occupies 70% of the National Park total area of 320 sq km. The most famous spectacle in the park is the tree-climbing lions, which are occasionally seen along branches of acacia trees. Other animals found in the park include buffalo, elephants, leopards, baboons, impala, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, ostrich and hippos. Lake Manyara National Park contains over 400 bird species, common water birds to be seen here are pelicans, spoonbills, Egyptian geese, hammerkops and the migratory flamingos, which arrive in hundreds of thousands creating one of Africa’s greatest natural sights over the soda lake.

Kilimanjaro National Park

Kilimanjaro National Park: One of the world’s most accessible high summits, encouraging guests from around the world to give it a try. Most climbers reach the crater rim with little more than a walking stick, proper clothing and determination.  Dubbed as the highest mountain in Africa rising to 5,895 metres above sea level. Mt Kilimanjaro is composed of three extinct volcanoes: Kibo 5895 m (19340 ft), Mawenzi 5149 m (16896 ft), and Shira 3962 m (13000 ft). The ascent of Kilimanjaro can be done from six routes: Mweka, Umbwe, Shira, Rongai, Machame, and the Marangu Route which is the easier and the most popular. Depending on which route one wants to use, the climb of Kilimanjaro can take between four nights to six nights on the mountain.

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park: Located south of Arusha, along The Great North Road highway, The park is a popular option for day trips from the town. During the dry months the concentration of animals around the Tarangire river is almost as diverse and reliable as in the Ngorongoro Crater.  However, the ecosystem here is balanced by a localised migration pattern that is followed by the majority of game that resides in and around the park.  As a result, Tarangire is superb in the dry season but questionable the rest of the year.

Dar es salaam Tour

Dar es salaam: It is necessary to visit Dar es Salaam to experience different cultures living together in absolute harmony. From a small Swahili town in the middle of the 19th century, Dar es Salaam has grown into a large metropolitan centre with a population of over 3,500,000 dwellers. The city population represents over 120 tribes of Tanzania with their different cultural backgrounds coming together, alongside the oriental civilizations from the far and middle east, and the Europeans including early Portuguese visitors in the 16th Century, the Germans and later the British. All cultures at one time or another passed through Dar es Salaam. Dar es Salaam is also the main gateway to the nature reserves of southern Tanzania, which include the Selous and Saadani Game Reserves and the National Parks of Mikumi, Ruaha and Udzungwa Mountains. It is also serves as a convenient connection for travel to the islands of Mafia, Zanzibar and Pemba both by sea and air. A city tour of Dar es Salaam will take you to the National Museum, Nyerere Cultural Centre, the Village Museum, Mwenge Carvings Market, and the Magogoni Fish Market, among other interesting spots.
